My mind is going so fast right now so I apologize if this doesn't make sense. These last few weeks felt like time was slowing down and then today it all hit that this was my last full week as a Full time missionary. Its so bizarre I can't quite wrap my head around it. I'll give you a quick run down of the happenings of this week and then I'll address a few other topics.
When I got my transfer call to come to Soundview I was released as a Sister Training Leader... or so I thought. Both Sister Kramer and Sister Bigley are STLs and while I'm officially released they've decided to use my so called "experience" while they have me so we've been going on exchanges galore! Its been fun though to keep learning from more sisters.
Tuesday we exchanged with Chambers Creek sisters (sadly I didn't get to go back to my old area but it was still great) Sister Heaton came to soundview with Sister Bigley and I and we were able to laugh the whole day as we reflected on the last 18 months (we came out together) and saw miracles! She is such a funny sister! (We failed and didn't take a picture)
Friday we exchanged with Sister Kramer (the 2nd sister Kramer) and Sister Brinkerhoff. Sister Bigley, Sister Brinkerhoff, and I worked in Soundview and got to do a lot of service! I love serving people! This time I took plenty of pictures! I can't get them to upload the usual way though :)
Saturday was insane! In the morning we had our ward Christmas breakfast in the afternoon we went shopping with Sister Blatter to help her get ready for our mission Christmas party tomorrow. Then that night for 5-7s we caroled with the sunset sisters. Its was a super exhausting day but we got a lot accomplished and got to see a lot of people smile.
That's about it for the week!
With my mission really coming to a close now I just wanted to share my testimony with you all. In my time here in Washington I have come to discover my Savior. I can't begin to express my gratitude for this sacred land and time. Its Christmas time. Its the time we all really think the most of our Savior. I wish people would view everyday as Christmas. Our Savior's birth is such an amazing thing!
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10
The simple knowledge that a baby was born to help each of us. A sweet innocent helpless baby. A baby who held more power than we could ever begin to understand. I am grateful for our Savior's birth and am so grateful to spend this time sharing His gospel. I know He didn't live a second of His life for himself but that every moment was lived for each of us. This season I invite you all to reflect on your personal life and think about what it meant specifically for you and your life to have this little baby born.
I love Jesus Christ and pray you all have a very merry Christmas.
Sister Jones
